Lila Kawashima
Born in 1973 in Takasaki City, Gunma Prefecture
• 1993: Graduated from the Ishikawa Prefectural Kutaniyaki Technical Training Institute
• 1996: Completed a diploma in the Department of Ceramics at the Australian National University
• 1998: Established the “Katsuugama” kiln with ceramic artist Kenji Tabei in Katsuyama, Nago City, Okinawa Prefecture. Concurrently started a pottery class.
• 2000: Founded the “Haruna Pottery Studio” in Haruna Town, Gunma District (now Takasaki City)
• 2016: Selected as a craftsman for the LEXUS NEW TAKUMI PROJECT 2016 representing Gunma
